Learn Zombie Makeup

If you want to get started learning zombie and horror makeup then this is an ideal place to start! The Horrify Me Zombie makeup tutorial days are aimed at absolute beginners who have never tried it before, but will also suit those who have had a go but want to improve their outcomes. Horrify Me will teach you all the basics, during a one-day course that will result in your very own awesome zombie creation. We'll even photograph your zombie in one of our classic zombie shoot setups afterwards!

• You will learn how to create scars and rotten skin effects using simple traditional techniques. |
• We'll teach you how to paint your zombie makeup too. |

• There will be blood! Plenty of it. |
• Your zombie will get some of their best seflies ever! |

• We will photograph you with your zombie. Be warned, they may bite you. |

• At the end of the tutorial, we will photograph your zombie in the Horrify Me studio

Things you will need to bring
|
It is important that you bring a few essential items with you for this course. None of it is expensive and all of it is easy to obtain online, or by raiding your old wardrobe. Please make sure you arrive with the following items...

1. A living human being.
You will need a model to do your makeup on. Please only bring living humans, don't bring actual zombies. |
2. Old clothes to change into.
These will get ruined and bloody during the day. Please ask your model not to arrive in these clothes, they will need to be worked on before they are worn. |

3. Basic set of sculpting tools.
If you have never sculpted before, don't panic! We will guide you through everything. You can easily buy a very basic set of wooden or plastic sculpting / modeling tools, similar to the photo above, online or at your local craft store. They can cost as little as £5 but are generally around £8 - £10 for a basic kit. You will NOT need an expensive professional kit! |
4. Basic set of makeup brushes.
These are very easy to buy and a basic set similar to the photo above can be bought for £4 - £8. You will not need a large professional brush kit. Just make sure there's a small brush for detail work, a medium brush and a large brush. |
